The story of Angel Eyes begins in September 1999 when Dr Dilpreet Singh returned to his home city of Kanpur having finished his fellowship. With a desire to bring quality eye procedures to Kanpur, an eye care centre was set up as an extension to the already well-established general hospital DS Memorial Nursing Home. The eye care centre quickly began to build a reputation for being one of the most well equipped with the most advanced equipment available. With a mission to provide quality care and the best visual outcomes, Dr Dilpreet was one of the first surgeons to introduce a cataract surgery technique called phacoemulsification within the region of Western Uttar Pradesh.

In 2007, Dr Dilpreet Singh and his wife Dr Gayatri Singh formally named the eye care centre as Angel Eyes Institute of Ophthalmology. Together with one vision in mind, they continued to strive to create a surgical facility that would always offer the newest, safest, most innovative vision correction technology through the hands of experienced, caring surgeons, whilst crafting a bespoke patient-centred care approach. Through sheer dedication and a ‘No Compromise on Safety’ policy, Angel Eyes Institute of Ophthalmology quickly evolved into one of Kanpur’s most premier eye care facilities.

Never ones to settle with the status quo; they dreamed of further revolutionising Kanpur’s options for ophthalmic treatments. Which is why in 2016, Angel Eyes Institute of Ophthalmology moved to its current location. Designed from the ground up, a 10,000 square feet state of the art building opened its doors offering multiple subspecialties, such as retina, glaucoma, cornea, paediatric, cataract, refractive correction, and diabetic eye care. The hospital also houses a pharmacy and optical shop.
