General Diagnostics Services
At Angel Eyes, we offer the full range of general eye diagnostic services. Read more below.
Glasses Test and Checkup
We offer spectacles testing services (refraction) using a two step process. Firstly a high-tech automated equipment (Nidek autorefraction) provides an estimate of your glasses power, which is then fine-tuned by our skilled optometrists to give you the best prescription possible.
Patients can then take their specs prescription to our our “Vision Studio” optical shop or to their own preferred shop
Eye Pressure Checks For Glaucoma Screening
Glaucoma is one of the major causes of preventable blindness in India.
Regular eye pressure checks are crucial for glaucoma screening because elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is a major risk factor for this sight-threatening condition. Glaucoma often develops without noticeable symptoms in its early stages, and unchecked high eye pressure can gradually damage the optic nerve, leading to irreversible vision loss. By measuring eye pressure through quick, painless invasive tests, we can detect potential problems early and initiate treatment to preserve vision.
Early detection through routine pressure checks significantly improves the chances of managing glaucoma effectively.
OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) Scans
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technique widely used in ophthalmology to diagnose and monitor retinal diseases and glaucoma.
For retinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and macular edema, OCT provides detailed cross-sectional images of the retina, enabling precise assessment of structural changes, fluid accumulation, and treatment response.
In glaucoma, OCT measures the thickness of the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and the ganglion cell complex, helping detect early nerve damage and monitor disease progression. Its high-resolution imaging capabilities make OCT an essential tool for early diagnosis and effective management of ocular diseases.
Photography Services
Photography monitoring in ophthalmology plays a vital role in documenting and tracking the progression of various eye diseases over time. At Angel Eyes, we offer both slit lamp based photography and retinal photography.
Anterior segment photography using a slit lamp is available to allow evaluation of conditions affecting the eyelids, cornea, iris, and lens.
Retinal photography captures detailed images of the retina, optic disc, and blood vessels, allowing clinicians to compare changes in structure and pathology, such as in diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Serial photographs help monitor disease progression, assess treatment response, and support patient education.
